Last year, on the last day of 2024, I decided to make a sewing related resolution for 2025. It needed to be simple and easily achievable but also impactful.

I know I am not alone in this - fabric hoarding can become a problem. It is a hobby on its own, sure. However, I wanted to be more mindful with my purchases and also use up the stash I already had. I have way too many gorgeous (and expensive) textiles and it’s a disgrace to let them collect dust in storage.

My resolution was: not buying new fabric and using my current stash.

Simple. Achievable. Mindful.

As we approach a 1 year anniversary of my resolution, I am happy to report I stuck to it. I feel accomplished. I am less overwhelmed with the amount of fabric at my house. It changed how I shop for fabric forever.

This is why I created the Sewing Bingo. I am excited for you to join me and create your own sewing resolutions. I can’t wait to see your progress!!!!!!
