Sewing 101
All Ages
Whether you have never used a sewing machine or you already have one but are not sure how to get started, this program is for you :)
In this 6h program you will learn:
basic machine functions
installing zippers
seam types
hemming
…and more!
By the end of this program, each student will have the skills to attempt many sewing projects on their own.
Prerequisites: none
Supplies: All supplies will be provided. Sewing machines are available for in-class use, however students are welcome to bring their own if they wish (please indicate that on the intake form)

A creative combination of quilting and garment-making that’s full of fun!
In this 12-hour class, you’ll learn:
How to cut and organize pattern pieces
Core quilting techniques for adding beautiful texture
Sewing a lining like a pro
All about bias tape - kinds of bias tape and their uses
How to work with bias tape: learn 3 edge-finishing methods and how to make your own bias tape
Leave with a warm and awesome vest that’s perfect for winter. Whether for yourself or as handmade gifts for loved ones, you’ll have the skills to make as many as you like!
Prerequisites: Some experience with a sewing machine is recommended, but not required.
Supplies: You can bring your machine, or use one provided for you (please indicate that on the intake form). Please bring your own fabric for this project. Make sure to pre-wash your fabric. Upon registration, you will receive an email with store recommendations and more details about how to prepare for this class.

This course is perfect for beginners, and you don't need any prior experience with a sewing machine. In just a few hours you will learn how to:
Crop a t-shirt with the original hem type
Crop pants, skirts and dresses
Take in the waist
Darn and repair holes
Re-attach buttons
Replace zippers

Please bring your projects. Feel free to bring as many as you have and see what you can accomplish in this session.
